  15. I am trying to make a beam of light that rotates for
  16. a lighthouse figure.  I made a cylinder and tried using
  17. a transparency image map to create a gradient level of
  18. transparency (so the light would fade in the distance).

  20. What I am trying doesn't seem to be working and I remember
  21. a small discussion in the past on making beams of light
  22. for the headlights of a car.  that would probably work for my
  23. purposes as well.

  25. Does anybody have any clues for me to follow?
